Course Description
Introduction to the basic principles of drug action, including molecular mechanisms, time and dose dependency of drug actions, pharmacokinetics, toxicity, resistance and tolerance, pharmacogenetics, mutagenesis, carcinogenesis, and drug development and evaluation.

Faculty Information
Dr. Stephanie Schulz holds a PhD in Zoology from the University of Vermont and held a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University. She holds a faculty position in the Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. Her research interests include the use of the enzyme guanylyl cyclase C as a marker for staging and surveillance in patients with colorectal cancer.
