Course Description
This course will introduce students to the drug development process primarily at steps post-basic research. It will examine the domestic and international regulatory environment, current requirements and new drivers in the development process -- specifically outcomes research and pharmacoeconomics.

Faculty Information
Dr. Dennis Gross received his PhD in Cell Biology in 1974 from the University of California, Los Angeles and did postdoctoral training at the Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Gross has a long history as instructor and course developer for the Masters programs of the college and has had an adjunct faculty appointment in the Jefferson Medical College since 1977. Dr. Gross comes to his present position after a 28-year career at Merck Research Labs.
