Jefferson College of Graduate Studies

ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes at Jefferson

Jeff-at-Night now offers a Certificate of Proficiency in English as a Second Language (ESL).
Classes are offered in the introductory, intermediate and advanced levels in speaking/listening and reading/writing. Eligible Jefferson employees can use their tuition benefit to take these classes.

A test is required to determine placement at the appropriate class level. The placement test,
which takes approximately two hours to complete, evaluates speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Placement testing for spring 2009 ESL classes will be held on the following dates
and times:

Date Time Location

Space permitting, spouses of Jefferson employees may also enroll in an ESL class for non-credit for a fee of $300 – a great way to reinforce learning as a couple.

Registration for the test is required. To register, or for more information about ESL classes, contact Jeff-at-Night at 215-503-8414 or e-mail Annette Foor.
