Representatives from four area institutions and ScienceCareers.org have organized a course in scientific laboratory management comprising three half day and one full day sessions from October 2006 through March 2007. The course will be held at the various consortium institutions. The Philadelphia course is modeled after “Course in Scientific Management” developed by the Burroughs Wellcome Fund and Howard Hughes Medical Institute. The objective of the course is to enhance skills that are necessary for a successful academic career.
