Nation’s Leaders on Geriatrics Gather at Thomas Jefferson University to Explore “A New Age in Dementia Care”
More than 200 leading healthcare professionals representing a broad cross section of service providers gathered at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia to share their knowledge and participate in a Summit focused on new models of care for those suffering from dementia. The Summit was sponsored by The Jefferson Center for Applied Research on Aging and Health (CARAH) at Thomas Jefferson University, along with its soon-to-be-unveiled Living Laboratory for Elder Care.
Included among the distinguished faculty were nationally recognized representatives from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the National Alzheimer’s Association, the Family Caregiver Alliance, the Administration on Aging, AARP, and other policy leaders. Joining them were leading researchers from CARAH and other university programs around the country dedicated to studying the landscape of care for the elderly.
