Post-Professional Masters Program (online)
This program is for students with a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. The new, online format will begin in Fall 2008. However, you may take courses as a non-matriculated student prior to Fall 2008 that will be applied to the Masters degree upon admission. Degree earned - Master of Science in Occupational Therapy
Program length - 12 months full-time time or part time, tailored to a student's schedule
Program format - online except for 1-2 on-campus meetings/semester

Academic requirement - Require the GRE or MAT exam unless you received your undergraduate degree in occupational therapy from Thomas Jefferson University.
Ideal Candidates - Experienced Occupational Therapists who wish to maximize or redirect their professional experience.
Program Description
The Post-Professional Master's in Occupational Therapy is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy. The program is offered both on a part-time and full-time basis. The curriculum offers practicing therapist the opportunity to customize 19 credits of elective (with nine credits that build on existing experience), along with core courses in Occupational Science, Clinical Problem Solving, Program Design and Evaluation, Clinical Leadership, and Research.
Goals of the Program
- To prepare occupational therapists to enter new arenas of practice and to launch new and effective programs in traditional areas of practice.
- To infuse occupation as the core of occupational therapy by exploring the relationship between occupation, health, and wellness.
- To increase the use of evidence-based decision-making in the practice of occupational therapy.
- To educate occupational therapists to be consumers and participants in the research process

- Develop specialty skills in: older adults, community health and participation, early intervention and school age practice, and sensory integration.
