Welcome to the Thomas Jefferson University Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Training Program

LuebbertI’m delighted to learn of your interest in the Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University.
Our program is based at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Albert Einstein Medical Center.  The fellowship started in 1977, and the most recent renewal of our longstanding accreditation by the ACGME was April 2008.  Our program is affiliated with Jefferson Medical College, one of the oldest and largest medical schools in the country and an institution rich with medical history.

Our primary goal is to develop independent practitioners of child and adolescent psychiatry.  Fellows experience patients in a wide range of diagnostic entities, utilize and learn the gamut of therapeutic options in child and adolescent psychiatry, and develop competency in the evaluation and management of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric disorders in all age ranges.  Fellows are also actively involved in teaching and research.  Those who have completed our program obtain careers in both academic and clinical environments.  Core faculty members include James Luebbert, MD (Program Director), Terri Randall, MD (Assistant Director), Fayez El-Gabalawi, MD (Associate Director), Harris Rabinovich, MD, Henri Parens, MD, and Ruth Zager, MD.

I invite you to learn more about our program through this website.

If you wish to apply for a fellowship position, please forward your request to Jennifer Skoufalos, Program Coordinator, at 833 Chestnut Street, Suite 210, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
