Research Interests:
As a physical therapist working in various clinical settings, I have been intrigued by my patients with neurological diagnoses, and I have become particularly interested in the mechanisms that cause diseases. While at Thomas Jefferson University, I hope to develop a greater understanding of disease processes and integrate this understanding with my existing clinical knowledge base. To facilitate this, I have chosen to study in Dr. Ji-fang Zhang’s laboratory. Our focus is on voltage-gated calcium channels, and we are currently investigating the roles of calcium and associated molecules in neurons.
