Geralyn M. Meny, MD
Geralyn M. Meny, MD is a physician (board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine) and Blood Bank Specialist (SBB certified) whose varied career experiences have included clinical practice as a medical technologist and physician, teaching and research. She currently serves as a Medical Director, American Red Cross Penn-Jersey Region, Clinical Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University and Medical Director, American Rare Donor Program.
Prior to joining the American Red Cross, Dr. Meny served as Director of Residency Training and Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Her clinical research interests include the laboratory investigation of hemolytic anemia, red cell transfusion practices, specifically transfusing incompatible blood, and disaster preparedness.
