Employee Referral Award Program For Recruiting Technologist (includes: General diagnostic, CT, MRI, Ultra- sound, CV, Nuclear Medicine)

  1. General Description/Objective: Thomas Jefferson University Hospital has been nationally recognized as a leader in radiology, a reputation maintained through the dedicated talents and skills of our radiology staff. It has been increasingly difficult to recruit qualified radiologist, A result of increasing activity here and the high level of demand for these individuals. Our employees are a potential resource of applicants for these positions. To encourage referrals, a referral award program has been implemented which will provide a $2000 payment, in two installments, to employees who refer applicants for designated radiology positions who are hired and remain in their position for six months.

  2. Award Amount The amount paid to employees for a hired referral is $2000, payable in two installments. The first payment of $1000 will be made following hire and start date of the individual referred. The second payment of 1000 will be made six months later, provided the referred employee has not terminated and is performing satisfactorily in the position. To receive payment, the referring employee must be currently employed with Thomas Jefferson University, Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc., or Jefferson University Physicians. Payments are Taxable compensation and subject to appropriate tax reporting and withholding.

  3. Eligibility Generally, all employees of Thomas Jefferson University, Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc., Methodist Hospital, and Jefferson University Physicians are eligible to refer applicants under the program and potentially receive awards. Senior administration, radiology positions in the chain of command of the vacant position, and Human Resources staff are not eligible for awards under this program. Also, no award will be payable if a position is filled by a current Jefferson Health System or University employee. Only specified vacancies will be eligible for award referrals. Eligible vacancies will be maintained in the employment office and published on printed job postings, accessed through the job opportunity website or the job hotline at (215) 503-8313.

  4. Referral Process A supply of referral forms will be maintained in the Employment Office (1st Floor Martin Building), in the Department of Radiology, and at Methodist Hospital’s Human Resources Department. Additional copies may be requested by calling (215) 503-7701. A completed referral form should be provided to the applicant and/or forwarded to the attention of Kellee Briscoe, Placement Specialist. The Manager of Employee Selection and Placement and Methodist Hospital Human Resources Department are responsible for administration of the program and validating eligibility for bonus.
