This commencement season will mark the 186th graduation ceremony for Thomas Jefferson University, originally founded as Jefferson Medical College in 1824. The University has since established itself as total "academic health center", composed of Jefferson Medical College, Jefferson College of Graduate Studies, the Jefferson School of Health Professions, Jefferson School of Nursing, Jefferson School of Pharmacy and Jefferson School of Population Health.
