Explanation of Degree Conferral Dates for
Jefferson School of Nursing Graduates

Thomas Jefferson University recognizes only three official conferral dates per year for students to graduate. These dates may not necessarily coincide with the actual date in which the student participates in the commencement exercises, but are based on when the program designates the completion of all academic and clinical obligations.

The following are the dates which have been selected for the 2010-2011 academic year:

  1. Friday, December 31, 2010
  2. Wednesday, June 1, 2011
  3. Wednesday, August 31, 2011

During the Ceremony, your individual diploma will be placed on your assigned seat in the room where you checked in and robed. Diplomas measure 11 inches by 14 inches for graduate degress and 8 inches by 10 inches for undergraduate degrees..

Please note that receiving your diploma on the day of the ceremony is contingent upon your department's confirmation that you ahve completed all degree requirements; and that you have no outstanding obligations with the university.

Please keep in mind that conferral dates will only be granted and diplomas will only be released in compliance with the above.

Diplomas are mailed to the address you indicated on your Graduate Application.
