As Senior Vice President and University Counsel, Ms. Cavalieri is the chief legal advisor to the President of TJU and other members of the senior leadership of TJU, JMC, JUP and the Schools of Biomedical Sciences and Health Professionals. Ms. Cavalieri is also the chief advisor to the Boards of TJU and JUP on matters related to governance, fiduciary duties and responsibilities, and Sarbanes-Oxley matters.

Before Ms. Cavalieri joined the Office of University Counsel, she was a partner at the law firm of Pelino & Lentz, P.C. At Pelino & Lentz, P.C., Ms. Cavalieri developed and managed the firm’s interdisciplinary health care department and was active in governmental relations.

Ms. Cavalieri received her Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law. She was a practicing nurse before attending law school and received her B.S.N. from the College of New Jersey and her R.N. from New York's Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing.

Active in the legal community, Ms. Cavalieri is an active member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations, NACUA and American Health Lawyers Association.  She serves on the Boards of the Committee of Seventy, the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation and the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau.  Ms. Cavalieri is a former Board member of Hope Partnership for Education and the Justinian Society. Ms. Cavalieri shares her expertise as a frequent lecturer on health care matters, corporate governance and issues arising in joint ventures between for-profit and not-for-profit entities.
