2013 Pre-Tax Deduction Changes
The maximum amount of money an employee may elect as a pre-tax payroll deduction for transit per month has increased from $125.00 to $245.00.

The maximum amount of money an employee may elect as a pre-tax payroll deduction for parking per month has increased from $240.00 to $245.00

Employees may enroll in Payroll Deduction or make changes to their current enrollment via the Employee Self Service Link on the Human Resources website.

Payment From Next Check Option to be Discontinued
As of March 1, 2013 customers will no longer be able to pay for their products and services at the Commuter Services Office out of a future paycheck. All customers must be prepared to pay for their products and services at the time of the sales transaction. Accepted forms of payment include pre-tax account funds, cash, Visa and MasterCard. Customers with outstanding balances will be required to pay in full before making any additional purchases.

Payroll Deduction Changing to Monthly Cycle on June 1
Effective June 1, the biweekly pre-tax payroll deduction schedule will be discontinued and changed to a monthly schedule.

In order for eligible Jefferson employees to keep their account at their typical amount, current elections should be adjusted from a biweekly deduction to a monthly deduction via Employee Self Service found on the left-hand side navigation menu of www.jeffersonhr.org. To coincide with the June 1 monthly deduction cycle, the CSO recommends that employees make changes to their elections by May 1.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Employees who do not adjust their deduction by May 1 will not have pre-tax funds deducted from the second paycheck of the month for transit and parking purchases.

New Purchasing Guidelines
As of May 1, 2012 the quantity of tokens, bus passes and parking tickets allotted at the time of purchase changed. See this grid for more details.

As of July 1, 2012 to purchase a monthly pass (SEPTA, New Jersey Transit) customers must be enrolled in the Pass-Buy-Mail program.
