Fellowship
The Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology has a strong
ongoing research program in various aspects of cutaneous biology
and investigative dermatology, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
The laboratory facilities consist of ~22,000 sq. ft. of well-equipped
biochemistry laboratories in the Section of Molecular Dermatology
within the Jefferson Institute of Molecular Medicine. Currently,
there are 18 post-doctoral fellows, supported by strong extramural
funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Dermatology
Foundation, and other sources.
Motivated candidates with MD, PhD or MD-PhD degrees and with a strong
interest in cutaneous biology are eligible for the fellowship program.
Research training may be integrated with clinical training within
the guidelines of the American Board of Dermatology.
