Welcome to the Division of Health Economics and Outcomes Research at the Doris N. Grandon Center! |
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Doris N. Grandon Center, opened in May 2008, is the location of the Division of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) at the Department of Health Policy, Jefferson Medical College.
|
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
| The Division seeks to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare through a better understanding of the economic, clinical, and humanistic outcomes of healthcare interventions. We specialize in performing: |
- Economic Evaluations, including cost-effectiveness analysis, cost impact analyses, cost of illness analysis, cost utility analysis and cost benefit analysis
- Observational studies that employ “real world” data from existing electronic databases or gathered through our own retrospective or prospective study
|
| Through our work, we aim to become a hub of interdisciplinary health economics and outcomes research at Jefferson and in the Greater Philadelphia area, by bringing together researchers and clinicians who use innovative and robust methods to address HEOR questions in a credible and transparent manner. |
| In addition to conducting research, we are committed to educating professionals about HEOR and to encouraging the use of HEOR data locally, nationally, and globally. |
We welcome your ideas and suggestions regarding potential research projects and/or training opportunities!
