Whether your interest is clinical medicine, academic medicine or research, Jefferson can meet your academic needs.

We offer degree programs in academic medicine: MD/PhD, MD/MBA, MD/MHA, MD/MPH. We provide hands on clinical experiences in the first and second year in addition to a wide range of hospital sites in the third and fourth year. Research and community opportunities are plentiful. Students are eligible to apply to research programs in the summer between the first and second year. Students have the opportunity to travel abroad to experience healthcare in another country through our Global Health Initiative. Furthermore, community service opportunities are available to medical students through a wide variety of student-run organizations and programs.

Support is provided to underrepresented students through member organizations such as the JMC Diversity Council, Student National Medical Association (SNMA), Jefferson African American Student Society (JAASS) and Jefferson Latino Medical Student Association (JLMSA).

In the fall semester of each year, ODAMA sponsors a one-day open house for underrepresented pre-medical students and their advisors. You are invited to visit the campus to see our facilities and meet some of our medical students, residents and faculty. Learn what medical student life is like and how to prepare for medical school. We encourage you to make plans to join us at this year's coming Open House.
