I’ve been heavy since I was a teenager and have lost and regained 300 pounds over my lifetime. In the 1980s I learned I was diabetic, and as my weight increased my health declined. At the urging off my doctor, I attended an orientation session for Jefferson’s program. That was in 2006, and today I am as committed to the program as I was when I started.

From the beginning, Jefferson’s program was unlike any other. Cheryl and her team are very professional and focus on the medical aspects of weight loss and management. Their approach is different than any of the other programs I’ve tried. Jefferson really cares about my health and not just the number of pounds I weigh or lose.

During each phase of the program, I learned about nutrition, food, and fitness, and I continue to learn well after 14 months in the program. The staff is incredibly supportive, and Cheryl is available around the clock to answer questions or if I run into a problem. Regular visits to Dr. Jabbour help me monitor my diabetes and related conditions and learn whether I need to be more careful.

One of the most helpful components was being allowed to bring my wife with me to some of the meetings. Having her there to learn about healthy eating and cooking was invaluable. Without her support, knowledge, and understanding, I don’t know that I would have been able to stay with it. Today, we both cook healthier as a result.

Since starting the program, I’ve gone from 267 pounds to 223. More importantly, I was able to stop taking six medications and my cholesterol levels have decreased from 200 to 134. And my energy levels have gone up immensely.

For me, the Jefferson Program is equal to Chevrolet, baseball, and apple pie. I cannot say enough about this program, and I recommend that anyone looking for a weight loss program look into the Jefferson Weight Management Program.
