Farber Institute surpasses fundraising goal with generous donations for 2007 Walk for Parkinson's

The Farber Institute raised over $2,000 for the 6th annual Walk for Parkinson's which took place on Saturday, April 21st, 2007 at Fairmount Park.

WALK FOR PARKINSON’S, The Parkinson Council’s sixth annual walk was held on April 21, 2007 on Kelly (East River) Drive. The Walk started at Lloyd Hall, located just behind the Art Museum, and proceeded on the sidewalk past the boat houses and then on the path between the Schuylkill River and Kelly Drive as far as Falls Bridge or any shorter distance. This was a walk, not a race and all were welcome including wheel chairs, strollers and carriages. Handicapped drop off in front of Lloyd Hall. Side walk and a hard surface path made walking, riding or skating easy.

Led by team captain Angela Donaldson, the Farber Institute's staff, friends, and families reached their goal in member support as well as in donations.

Jefferson Hospital for Neurosciences raised over $9,000 to support the cause.
