Mission & Overview
The Farber Institute for Neurosciences of Thomas Jefferson University is dedicated to translating advances in basic research into clinical solutions for the millions of people suffering from disorders of the nervous system. Our singular mission is to discover how best to treat and prevent neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and others.
The Farber Institute was established with a generous gift from Vickie and Jack Farber of the Farber Family Foundation, Inc., who have witnessed the devastation of neurological disease in their own family and have contributed one of the largest gifts in Jefferson history to help find the answers.
With that strong foundation, the Farber Institute for Neurosciences is committed to building a premier research institution that is helping define the future of care for nervous system disorders.
