Alzheimer's Research at Farber
Alzheimer's affects about 5 million Americans today and is projected to strike 16 million by mid-century, posing a public health crisis of monumental proportions. Yet, among researchers who are looking for a cure, there has never been more hope.
Farber Institute scientists are tackling Alzheimer's on many levels, encompassing both basic science (understanding the root cause) and clinical research (developing and testing new therapies). This active collaboration among scientists who work in the lab and clinicians who treat patients is synergistic, facilitating the translation of basic findings from the "bench" into treatments.
