Center for Alzheimer's Disease Research and Care
Barry Rovner, M.D., Director
The Farber Institute's Alzheimer's Center for Alzheimer's Disease Research and Care was developed to help move promising therapies for Alzheimer's disease into clinical use. Within six months of its establishment, the Institute was selected as a site for the first anti-amyloid human clinical trial in North America. Enrollment for a trial investigating the efficacy of the metal chelator Clioquinol is expected to begin in 2004.
