Dr. Satish Rattan's research interests focus on the regulation of the internal anal sphincter muscle, specifically the mechanisms governing the basal tone of the internal anal sphincter and the nature of inhibitory neurotransmitters for internal anal sphincter relaxation.

A volunteer faculty also plays a role in teaching clinical and endoscopic skills to our trainees.
