Curriculum
Overview
High school seniors who are committed to earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) in bioscience technologies can apply to one of our partner institutions – Immaculata University or Penn State Abington – and spend 3 years there working toward a bachelor’s degree. As long as all required coursework is completed, students will transition to Jefferson where they will complete the MS degree in 2 years.
The BS is offered in three specialty areas:
Program Length
3 prior years of specific prerequisite coursework (82 credits)
2 academic years (full time)
Curriculum
Select 7-9 credits of concentration electives from graduate level courses offered throughout the University. These courses should focus on and reflect contemporary areas of clinical or research laboratory management, administration and advanced practice.
Concentration Areas include but are not limited to:
- management and supervision
- financial management
- regulatory and quality management
- research skills
