Short Term Housing
DHRL also reserves space in our Martin Residence Hall for short-term housing accommodations available to visiting students, residents’ family, and TJUH patients’ family*.
All reservations must be made through the Assistant Director Housing Operations, Don Morrissey, at (215) 955-6479, fax (215) 923-1981 email: don.morrissey@jefferson.edu or at Suite 103, Orlowitz Building, 1000 Walnut Street. The information you will need to provide in order to make a reservation is: guest(s) name, name and telephone # of person reserving, guest(s) affiliation with TJU (students provide department contact & phone number), choice of accommodations, arrival and departure dates. If subsidized IDC# (inter-department charge code) is required. The Martin/Alternative Coordinator will confirm all reservations and affiliations.
CHECK IN TIME IS 3:00 PM at the Martin Building Front Desk at 201 S. 11th Street. Payment should be made at arrival by personal check (Must be a drawn from a U.S. bank account), EXACT cash, credit card (Visa or MasterCard), EXACT traveler's checks, or money order. (There is no change at desk) CHECK OUT TIME IS 12:00 NOON.
Martin Units:
The rooms offered are dormitory style, double occupancy (shared or private) rooms with shared community bathroom and kitchen. The maximum occupancy per room is two persons with the following amenities.
- One single bed per person
- One closet & drawer per person
- One desk & chair (study area)
- One microfridge
- Bed linens & towels (replenished weekly)
- Common bath accommodations
- Common shower accommodations (single use available)
- Common lounge area with cable TV
- Common kitchen facilities include microwave oven, range, toaster oven, and refrigerator/freezer (utensils not included)
- Coin operated washers/dryers on premises for laundry needs
- Use of TJU Fitness and Recreational Facility located at Jefferson Alumni Hall (guest fee is $10.00 on weekdays and $5.00 on weekends)

Martin Residence Suite
Martin Suite is a double occupancy room and includes private bathroom, furnished living room with sleeper sofa and bedroom, cable TV and micro fridge. Rate is $120.00 per night (student discount not available).
Martin Apartment
Fully furnished Apartment with Living room Bedroom, Private Bath and full kitchen. Free cable TV
Monthly rate $1,500.00 includes all utilities.
* A representative from you academic department must make all reservations on behalf of visiting students and post-doc fellows.
