At Jefferson, our goal is to be a career destination, where our employees have the opportunity for continuous learning and growth. To support that objective, we are introducing comprehensive education for career and leadership development. Descriptions of all programs can be found in the Learning and Development Guide. You may register for all courses in HealthStream.
Supporting our leaders with the education they need to drive organizational transformation.
New Leader Fundamentals
A 4-week program (participants attend 5 hours/week) for newly hired and promoted leaders at all levels. Participants are introduced to important Jefferson policies and procedures around hiring, performance improvement, corrective action, financial systems, and much more, all within the context of Jefferson’s Leadership Success Model.
A comprehensive 8-week program (participants attend ½ day/week) designed to support leaders in building a vibrant workplace culture and achieving optimal results. Modules range from Transformative Leadership for Changing Times to Achieving Results through Accountability.
HR Masters Series
The HR Masters Series are informal monthly programs offered on site at Jefferson entities. These hour-long sessions, facilitated by the Jefferson HR Team, provide managers with easy access to best practices in Human Resources and leadership. Each month a separate topic is offered at multiple times.
Career Development Programs
Encouraging career growth, building a leadership pipeline.
Grow Your Career
A three part series (one hour per weekly session) designed to support frontline employees in identifying their career path and understanding the skills and education they need to follow it, as well as providing education in writing a resume and interviewing.
A program designed to help frontline employees determine if a management role is right for them. The class examines the challenges and opportunities of being a supervisor, and includes an assessment of each participant’s readiness for a supervisory position.
In addition to our career and leadership programs, we offer an extensive array of enrichment courses for both front line staff and leaders.
New Employee Orientation
All new employees are expected to attend New Employee Orientation, which is held two times each month. We invite new employees back for an informal “check-in” within 60 days.
