Vaccination Efforts

The Pennsylvania Department of Health has announced that the H1N1 vaccine is now available to everyone and is no longer limited to the five high priority groups targeted earlier. Jefferson students, faculty and staff who would like to receive the vaccine can do so by visiting University Health Services.

University Health Services is responsible for vaccinating Jefferson employees and students in accordance with the guidelines set by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health.

Philadelphia also has opened 28 neighborhood vaccination clinics. Please visit the Philadelphia Department of Public Health for locations and times. You can also call (215) 685-6458 with any questions.

UNIVERSITY STATUS
The University is open and operating normally.

All students, faculty and staff with flu-like symptoms are urged to remain out of class, the library, offices and other public places. You may resume normal activity only after being fever free for 24 hours (without medication). This applies to those WITHOUT patient care responsibilities.
