The Division of General Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University is home to more than 30 full, part time and volunteer faculty members with expertise in patient care, teaching, and research. The physicians deliver both primary and specialized clinical care.  The Division has multiple practice sites in Philadelphia and New Jersey.

The main responsibilities of the Division of Internal Medicine are to provide state of the art medical care to patients in the outpatient primary care setting, the inpatient hospital setting, and the hospitalized medical patient on surgical services.

Areas of Clinical Expertise include Internal and Preventive Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Vascular Diseases, Sickle Cell Disease, Diving Medicine, Preventative Health Care, Weight Management, and Care to the Chinese and Korean Community.

Specific areas if research interest include Vascular Medicine, Sickle Cell Disease, Gastrointestinal Cancer Syndromes, Quality of Care, Outcome Research and Cost Effectiveness.
