Remote Network Access
Here are the options for remote access to campus computing resources available to members of the Jefferson community:
NOTE: Users of these services must agree to the terms of the TJU/TJUH Security policy stated at the bottom of this page.
Remote Access Portal (RAP)
Web-Browser-Based Access from any Internet service.
Note: this is the recommended option unless you have a specific need for dial-up or VPN.
All Jefferson employees have access to the Employee Self Service site via RAP.
For non-employees and employees needing access to other Jefferson resources, a Service Request will need to be opened and receive departmental approval (For some departments there will be a charge for this service). On the Service Request please note what resource access is needed.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Note: this method is only approved for Jefferson resources unable to be accessed via RAP
|Cisco VPN client for Windows and Linux OS’. Mac OS will use built-in VPN client|
|Only provided for resources that cannot be accessed via RAP. For these resources, a Service Request will need to be opened and receive departmental & IS&T approval (For some departments. there will be a charge for this service). On the Service Request please note what resource access is needed.|

TJU / TJUH Security Policy
Authorization to access Jefferson information assets is granted to employees, students, faculty, physicians, and affiliates specifically and exclusively for their University/Hospital-related functions. By using these services, a user agrees that he or she is responsible for abiding by and promoting adherence to the Electronic Communication and Information Policy.
Any unauthorized use of University/Hospital information systems, or any unauthorized access, modification, destruction, representation or disclosure of University/Hospital information constitutes a breach of security and is subject to disciplinary action.
TJU/TJUH Remote Services are to be used only by authorized persons. Sharing of usernames and passwords will be treated as a violation of University/Hospital policy, and will be subject to disciplinary action.
