Linkage Agreement with Jefferson Medical College

Students enrolled in the P4 program can apply as an early-decision candidate or secure a guaranteed interview for admission to Jefferson Medical College (JMC).  In order to apply for either opportunity, students must meet the following criteria:

• Maintain a cumulative undergraduate science GPA of ≥ 3.4, including no grade lower than a B, on courses taken prior to and during the P4 program
• MCAT scores ≥ 30 with no individual component < 9
• A letter of support from the P4 Program Director

Early Decision Candidate

Once accepted into the P4, students interested in applying for the linkage should meet with the P4 Program Director to discuss their application.  With the approval from the Director and the Office of Admissions at Jefferson Medical College, applicants must submit their AMCAS application at the end of the fall term.

Jefferson Medical College will review the applicants and invite students to interview. Decisions on provisional acceptances would be offered to each successful applicant by the end of March. Once having accepted that provisional offer, students are committed to attend JMC. Acceptance will not become final until spring term grades and MCAT scores are submitted that meet the requirements set out in the agreement between the P4 and JMC.

Guaranteed Interview

Students will be guaranteed an interview after completion of the P4, requiring a “glide year” ( the year between applying to medical/pharmacy school and matriculation).  In order to be eligible for the guaranteed interview, the AMCAS application must be submitted after successful completion of P4.
