We are pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Peiper, MD, as Chairman of the Department of Pathology, Anatomy and Cell Biology at Thomas Jefferson University/Jefferson Medical College effective October 1, 2008.
Dr. Peiper was the Chariman, Department of Pathology in the School of Medicine, at the Medical College of Georgia and the Edgar R. Pund Distinguished Professor of Pathology. Prior to serving at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Peiper held a variety of positions in the School of Medicine, at the University of Louisville, including Professor in the departments of Pathology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, ViceChariman in the Deparmtner of Pathology and Surgery, and founding Director for the Center of Genetics and Molecualr Medicine. He founded the Univeristy's MD/PhD program, for which he served as Assistant Dean and also was the Agnes Brown Duggan Professor and Director of Research at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
We are delighted that Dr. Peiper has agreed to serve as Chairman of the Deparment of Pathology, Anatomy and Cell Biology. Please join us in congratulating him on his appointment to his new position. |

The JCGS Reception was held for the new students that are attending the Jefferson University Graduate Program. The atmosphere was Hawaiian with lays for all. Provided by Jefferson Catering was the tropical buffet and music that brought it all together.
