Undergraduate:
The College of New Jersey, 2009 Biology
Research Interests:
As an undergrad, my research interest was primarily focused on ecology. Specifically, I investigated the effects of allelopathy, or plant chemical warfare, in a number of plant species. My current interests, however, lie in electrophysiology and brain imaging. In particular, I am interested in the effects of cognitive reorganization following temporal lobectomy.
Selected Abstracts:
Corbett, B. and J.A. Morrison “The allelopathic effects of Migrostegium vimineum and Eupatorium rugosom on both native and invasive species and the role of microorganisms in allelopathic studies” (publication in the scientific journal Biological Invasions pending)
Author of “Trade-offs between reproduction and thorn production in Rosa multiflora” (published in The College of New Jersey’s Journal of Student Scholarship)
Memberships/Awards/Honors:
TCNJ Dean’s List 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008
Phi Kappa Phi Research Award
BBB Biological Honor Society member
Personal Interests:
My personal interests vary. Sometimes a good book and a fresh cup of cocoa or a Starbuck’s latte is all I need. I also enjoy hangin’ with the guys and watching a few episodes of The Golden Girls. And, of course, you can always find me front row center when LFO is in town!
