International Postdoctoral Committee (IPC)
The Jefferson Postdoctoral Association (JPA) has been helping national and international postdocs for the past six years. For the smooth transition of international postdocs to Jefferson and the US, JPA has formed an International Postdoctoral Committee (IPC). This committee meets monthly with Dr. Lisa Kozlowski from the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and a representative from the International Office.
The major aims of this committee are:
- Providing country-specific information to international postdocs, before and after they arrive at Jefferson.
- Increasing interactions among international postdocs by arranging social events for them.
To join the committee or for more information, please contact the IPC at jpa@jefferson.ed

Mission Statement for the Office of Postdoctoral
Affairs
The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs at Thomas Jefferson University (TJU)
officially opened on October 27, 2003 with the placement of Lisa Kozlowski,
Ph.D., as the Assistant Dean for Postdoctoral Affairs and Recruitment.
The Board of Trustees at Thomas Jefferson identified the Jefferson College
of Graduate Studies as the central location for this office. The Office,
working with the academic departments, will determine human resource
needs and training opportunities for postdoctoral fellows. These will
include, but are not limited to, working with the TJU human resources
department to construct a standardized letter of appointment, implementing
salary and benefits guidelines, creating a database of postdoctoral fellows,
establishing a web-based recruiting resource to identify postdoctoral
positions available at TJU, coordinating career and professional development
workshops, and being a central resource for TJU postdoctoral fellows
as well as departmental administrators and PIs.
