I became familiar with Jefferson through the College’s Plan A College Education (PACE) program.  I knew I wanted to be a physical therapist and that Jefferson was the university for me.  Through PACE, I attended St. Joseph’s University for undergrad and entered Jefferson as a graduate student.

As a student at Jefferson, I loved being in Center City Philadelphia.  Jefferson’s campus has a community feel while providing access to all of the amenities, from restaurants to shopping to nightlife.

My clinical experiences through Jefferson gave me the hands-on experience that I needed.  Within two weeks of graduation, I was offered a position through my clinical affiliation.

I found Jefferson’s Career Development office to be very helpful.  I frequently attended the resume and interview workshops and they helped me refine my resume, even after I had graduated.

Jefferson faculty are very approachable.  I see them often at clinical affiliation meetings.

I’m currently the Acute Care Teamleader at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where I manage the acute care staff and specialize in multi-trauma patients in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).

It’s great that Jefferson now offers a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  It’s excellent that they’ve moved in that direction.
