Radiologic Sciences Prerequisites
(Must earn a 'C' or better in all transferable courses)
All students must complete 50 specific prerequisite credits prior to matriculation;
however, they do not need to have all prerequisite work completed at the
time of application. Academic courses from accredited institutions with
a grade of ‘C' or above and CLEP scores are acceptable for transfer. |

1. These courses must meet requirements for science majors.
2. There is a 10-year time limit on the transferability of science courses
(students with relevant work experience may petition for exception
to this rule).
3. Physics need not be calculus based
4. Medical Terminology requirement is effective for Fall 2007 Admissions Applications
*Students who choose Medical Dosimetry or Nuclear Medicine for the 1-year Advanced Placement or as part of the 2-year Multicompetency program are required to follow these prerequisites.
**Recommended Electives: Chemistry, Computer Science,
Psychology, Sociology, Speech/Communication, Statistics.
Two-year Multicompetency Program
This bachelor's degree option is for students who have no background in the radiologic sciences and have completed 50 credits of specific prerequisite coursework.
One-year Advanced Placement
This bachelor's degree option is for students who have completed 50 credits of specific coursework and who have the following additional educational experience/credential:
- Students with a baccalaureate degree may apply for medical dosimetry
- Students who have graduated from an accredited program in radiation therapy and hold registration may apply for medical dosimetry.
