Fran joined the Department of Radiologic Sciences at Jefferson College of Health Professions in1993 as an adjunct faculty member and became the Program Director in 1998. She was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2004 and was appointed Chair of the Department in 2003.

Fran has authored and implemented numerous curriculums providing a variety of opportunities for students in Radiologic Sciences. These include Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography, Radiation Therapy, Medical Dosimetry, Women's Imaging and PET/CT. She currently teaches in the Radiography, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging programs.

Fran earned her Certificate in Radiologic Technology from Northeastern University and Boston University Medical Center in 1974. While working as a technologist at Boston City Hospital, she completed her Baccalaureate degree in Health Administration at Northeastern University in 1981. Fran worked in clinical practice at BU Medical Center for ten years, initially in diagnostic radiography, and later specializing in cardiovascular-interventional imaging and computed tomography. She left clinical practice in 1982 to pursue opportunities in sales and marketing in the medical imaging industry.

Fran moved to the Philadelphia area in 1984 where she continued her career in sales, marketing and technical support. She earned her Master's Degree in Health Administration from St. Joseph's University in 1988. In 1989, Fran began her career in education as a part-time faculty member at the Community College of Philadelphia. While teaching at CCP she was also an adjunct faculty member at Thomas Jefferson University before accepting her current position in 1998. She attained advanced certifications in computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and cardio-vascular interventional imaging.

Fran is actively involved in radiography professional societies nationally and locally. From 1995-1999, she held positions as President and Board Chair for the Philadelphia Society of Radiologic Technologists and was an affiliate delegate in the House of Delegates at the American Society of Radiologic Technologists national convention. She is a graduate of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists Leadership Academies for Educators and Technologists and has served on a number of committees for the American Society of Radiologic Technologist and the Association of Educators in Radiologic Sciences. She most recently was selected and participated in the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions Leadership workshop.
