Web-based Healthcare Training

The Department of General Studies, Jefferson College of Health Professions, offers quality web-based healthcare career training programs in partnership with Gatlin Education Services, Inc. (GES), a recognized leader in asynchronous web-based education.  These non-credit open-enrollment programs are designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional career positions as medical transcriptionists or pharmacy technicians, healthcare fields that are currently experiencing shortages of qualified personnel.  Students who successfully complete these programs will be issued a Certificate by Thomas Jefferson University.

The advantages of online learning
  • You begin when you wish
  • You move at your own pace
  • You are assigned an instructor for one-on-one assistance
  • All materials (textbooks, etc.) are included and shipped directly to you
  • Each program has a set of lessons and exams; grades are a combination of computer-graded tests and the instructor's evaluation of your work
  • You should complete the online modules within 180 days
  • Financial assistance is available
  • You will receive a Certificate from Thomas Jefferson University upon successful completion of the program
