Giving to JCHP
Dear Jefferson Alumni,
Welcome to the Jefferson College of Health Professions web page. Here
you will have an opportunity to learn about the exciting things happening
in your old departments and in the College, as well as how you can support
that work.
I find myself on an exciting and stimulating journey as the dean of
your college. There are new and challenging developments for faculty
and students each day. We welcome your partnership in helping JCHP offer
the finest educational experience to its students as we prepare them
for the challenges of healthcare careers in a dynamically changing environment
.
The faculty of JCHP professional departments have been very active in
meeting the challenges of change in professional practice, and our students
are working hard to become your colleagues, following in the Jefferson
tradition of excellence in compassionate and technical care.
Your support is critically important in helping the professional programs
of JCHP.
- Departmental support allows you to designate your gift to
support essential work and advance practice in the department of your
choice.
- Scholarships continue to be a growing need as education costs
outstrip the financial ability of students and their families. Annual
tuition now exceeds $20,000 a year and most JCHP students graduate
with more than $32,000 in debt. It is possible to direct your scholarship
support to students in a given department.
- Unrestricted support allows us to use funds to meet the most
urgent needs of the College, whether it is to improve facilities and
equipment or attract the best faculty.
- The Center for Applied Research on Aging and Health is a new
initiative established by the College to provide a forum for interdisciplinary
research, education, and healthcare for our increasing population of
elderly.
I welcome your support. Your gift will help us prepare the next generation
of health professionals-individuals who will be working side by side
with you in a clinical setting or even providing your health care.
I hope that you will visit our site often to see what's new and how
you can help. We value your involvement as an alum of one of our professional
programs and of Jefferson College of Health Professions.
Sincerely,
James B. Erdmann, Ph.D., Dean
