Kitasato - Jefferson Student Exchange Program

The Department of Bioscience Technologies conducts a Student/Faculty Exchange Program with Kitasato University's School of Health Professions in Sagamihara-shi, Japan. Each year three or four Japanese Lab Science students visit our Department for three weeks, usually during March. In May-June, three or four of our students visit Kitasato University. Jefferson students attend classes at Kitasato University, sight-see and enjoy a "total immersion" in Japanese customs and culture.

Participation in the Exchange Program is competitive. Eligibility is based on academic performance, ability to represent our University, and potential to have meaningful learning and social experiences. Jefferson students may also apply for funding to support their trip through the University's Foerderer Scholarships for International Study.

You can visit the Kitasato University web site at http://www.kitasato-u.ac.jp/Welcome-E.html
