Laura N. Gitlin, PhD, Director of Center for Applied Research on Aging and Health at Thomas Jefferson University, was selected by the Eastern Pennsylvania Geriatrics Society (EPGS) as this year's recipient of The Charles Ewing Memorial President’s Award. A statement from EPGS says that Dr. Gitlin is receiving the award for her "outstanding service and contributions to improving the lives of elderly patients."
EPGS will present the award at its annual meeting and awards dinner, scheduled for December 7 at The Union League of Philadelphia.
