Nursing Programs Accredited

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Thomas Jefferson University's Jefferson School of Nursing was awarded a maximum five-year initial accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) which visited Jefferson in February and issued its decision in early October. As the fifth program nationwide to be visited by CCNE, JSN pioneered the DNP accreditation process.

Jefferson's Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA) program was awarded a maximum accreditation of 10 years by the Council on Accreditation (COA), American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, which visited Jefferson in April and issued its decision in mid-October.

"Congratulations to the faculty who designed, implemented and secured accreditation for these outstanding programs," shares Mary Schaal, RN, EdD, Dean of Jefferson School of Nursing.
