DI Student Awarded the SDMS Educational Foundation Scholarship

Congratulations to Judy Roberts DI '03 who was awarded a scholarship in the amount of $500 from the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) Educational Foundation. The SDMS Educational Foundation is the only organization awarding scholarships to ultrasound students attending programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. The Foundation was established to help attract and assist bright, committed student to the field of ultrasound while also supporting research endeavors of practicing sonographers. Each year the SDMS Educational Foundation offers scholarships to students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. "I was very excited to hear that I had won the scholarship, stated Ms. Roberts. I definitely felt my hard work had paid off." Following graduation, Ms. Roberts plans to prepare for the board certification exams and pursue a career in diagnostic imaging.
