Mabel C. Prevost Scholarship

Funded by Jefferson Nurses' Alumni Association

A. Award

1. Partial tuition support for one year for the Graduate Nursing program.

B. Criteria For Applying the Scholarship

1. Acceptance into the MSN or DNP Program.
   
   
2. Stated plans for advanced practice nursing in a tertiary care setting.
   
   
3. Demonstrated record of leadership appropriate for age, educational background, and professional experience.
   
   
4. Evidence of therapeutic communication skills and compassion for patients.
   
   
5. Full-time or part-time study.

C. Application Process

1. Submit a letter of application addressing criteria stated above.
   
   
2. Submit one letter of recommendation from a university professor or supervisor to whom you directly report.
   
   
3. Submit a copy of undergraduate and graduate nursing transcripts.

D. Monitoring Process

1. Recipient must maintain satisfactory academic status.
   
   
2. Any recipient who is unable to meet the minimum credit (3 credits) requirement each semester will be required to repay the Scholarship money to the University.
   
   
3. An individual is eligible for award of the Mabel C. Provost Scholarship only once.
