Leadership LIVE 2006-07 (Our Inaugural Year of the Program) |
The mission of the JCHP Leadership Development program is to advance the University’s mission to prepare student leaders for their professional and personal endeavors. The Leadership Development program strives to promote and achieve the University’s shared values of “excellence and motivation, integrity and respect, and teamwork and communication” by offering a series of experiences that develop self-awareness, integrate diverse perspectives, and promote ethical leadership.

Leadership LIVE: Leadership Development Series
The Office of Student Affairs and the Leadership
Development Team invite you to participate in this exciting
leadership program created specifically for the students of the
Jefferson College of Health Professions. This series will
challenge
your current understanding of leadership and guide you through a
process of self-reflection and discovery.

By participating in this program you will gain:
- Greater insight into how your personality traits may influence your leadership style and career path.
- An understanding of the skills necessary to lead other effectively.
- Both theoretical and practical knowledge about leadership and how to enhance your own leadership qualities and opportunities.
Curriculum
The Leadership Team intends to choose session topics that demonstrate one or more of the core concepts outlined below.

Registration Information
To register for the Leadership Development Series, please bring the registration form to the Office of Student Affairs (Room 709 Edison Building). If you do not already have a registration form, you can obtain one in our office.
Series participants who earn at least seven leadership credits during the 2008-09 academic year will receive a Leadership Certificate. Attaining this certificate is not only something that you can highlight on your professional resume; you will also be able to use what you learned throughout your professional life.
Also, participation will be recorded on a Leadership Transcript, which will be distributed at the end of the academic year to all participants.
Many sessions are offered twice; once in the afternoon and once in the evening. Please attend whichever offering accommodates your schedule.
There is no fee to participate in Leadership LIVE except for those who wish to attend the Etiquette Dinner.
Leadership Award Ceremony
All participants who earn at least seven Leadership Credits will be invited to attend the Leadership Award Ceremony on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, where certificates will be presented for completion of the Leadership LIVE program. This award ceremony will also be a great opportunity to process the experience with the Leadership LIVE cohort and team facilitators.
