The Eakins Legacy Fund

The endowment fund was established through the sale of Thomas Eakins' The Gross Clinic for $68 million in 2007. Each year, the fund underwrites endowed professorships and scholarships. The fund matches dollar for dollar new commitments of $100,000 or more.
In the past two years, JMC has awarded $1 million to 45 Eakins Scholars, and, through partnerships with generous donors, has established four endowed professorships and 13 endowed scholarships. Give to the Eakins Legacy Fund.

The 291-seat Connelly Auditorium anchors the first floor of Jefferson's Dorrance Hamilton Building, known as one of the most advanced interdisciplinary learning centers in the world. Naming a seat extends support to the men and women who will shape health care in the future.
