Will I lose my emails when moving to Microsoft Exchange Online?
All of your TJU email will be transferred and accessible from your Microsoft Exchange Online account. There will be no disruption of email service during the migration process, but it may take up to 24 hours for all of your existing email to be transferred. During this time you will be able to access the old mail system to retrieve emails and settings. Clients will receive a communication closer to the migration date with information on accessing the old mail system.

Will I still be able to access my TJU email via the web (JeffMail)?
Yes. Microsoft Exchange Online offers a powerful webmail interface that closely resembles Outlook 2010. For more information on the features of Exchange's webmail client, click here.

Please note that Microsoft Exchange Online offers many features outside of JeffMail’s current offering; however, Jeff IT only supports email access.  All other features should be used at one's own discretion.

Will I need to change settings on my Mobile device?

Will all of my current JeffMail email rules, forwarding, out of office messages and signatures be transferred to Exchange Online?
Because your email will be migrated to a brand new email system, any email rules, forwarding, out of office messages and signatures that you currently have configured in JeffMail (http://jeffmail.jefferson.edu) will need to be reconfigured in the new Exchange Online web client once your email has been migrated. If you currently have rules, forwarding, Out of Office messages and signatures configured in your email thick clients, such as Outlook and Mac Mail, these will not need to be reconfigured.  For more information on accessing and documenting your current JeffMail email rules and signatures in preparation for your migration, click here.
