Leasing/Purchasing PCs

Welcome to the Thomas Jefferson University Customer Support Center (CSC). The CSC is located at 130 S. 9th Street, on the 20th floor of the Edison building. Business hours are 9-5. Please choose one of the following options to purchase or lease a new computer. If you have any questions on obtaining a new computer, or would like help in obtaining an eQuote, feel free to call the CSC at extension 3-6000.

Leasing a Dell

Obtain an eQuote from the TJU DellPremier Page .

Submitting an RTP (for a lease)

  • Vendor: Dell/CSC, One Dell Way, RR8 Box 34, Round Rock, TX 78682
  • Signatures: All proper department signatures should be completed
  • Charge Code: All natural accounts numbers for Leased equipment should be 6922
  • The eQuote number must be written on the front of the RTP, and a copy of the eQuote must be submitted with the RTP.
  • Submit a Service Request prior to submitting your RTP. The Service Request number should be written on the RTP.

Submitting an RTP (for a purchase)

  • Signatures: All proper department signatures should be completed
  • Charge Code: 6922 will not be accepted for a purchase, this is a natural account number for a lease only
  • The eQuote number must be written on the front of the RTP, and a copy of the eQuote must be submitted with the RTP.
  • Submit a Service Request prior to submitting your RTP. The Service Request number should be written on the RTP.
  • Along with the hardware RTP, each computer purchased must have a separate RTP for licensing as follows:
    • Norton AntiVirus = $37.00
    • Microsoft Office XP = $69.00
    • MS/Users license = $7.50
    • Credant File Encryption = $100.00

Purchasing a Macintosh

Obtain a Web Proposal from the Apple website. Please login to “Apple Store for Education”.

Submitting an RTP

  • Vendor: Apple, PO Box 149116, MS198-HE, Austin, TX 78714-9116
  • Signatures: All proper department signatures should be completed
  • Charge Code: 6922 will not be accepted for a purchase, this is a natural account number for a lease only. Currently the CSC does not lease computers from Apple.
  • The Web Proposal number must be written on the front of the RTP, and a copy of the Web Proposal must be submitted with the RTP.
  • Submit a Service Request prior to submitting your RTP. The Service Request number should be written on the RTP.
  • Along with the hardware RTP, each computer purchased must have a separate RTP for licensing as follows:

    • Microsoft Office XP = $69.00
    • MS/Users license = $7.50
