====================== JeffNEWS, July 1, 1995 ====================== THE JEFFERSON 2000 FUND Ahead of Schedule Jefferson 2000 Fund Reaches $108 Million The Jefferson 2000 Fund campaign, announced three years ago, has reached a total of $108 million toward a goal of $200 million. The drive is now almost a year ahead of its original schedule. "This exciting gain for the University shows what can be accomplished when we pull together," said Jack Farber, chairman of Jefferson's Board of Trustees. "Because of the support and confidence shown by our donors - alumni, faculty, staff, corporations, foundations and other friends - we can carry on our mission: to train health professionals, expand our knowledge through research and deliver the excellent patient care for which Jefferson is known." As the face of American health care changes, Jefferson is counting on the success of this drive to help us maintain our leadership. Among the goals of the 2000 Fund are: to support existing programs; establish new educational initiatives; strengthen our faculty; increase financial aid to students; expand research efforts; renovate older facilities; provide an even higher level of patient care, and establish new ties, as well as develop our present affiliations, with other leading health centers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Information provided by: Editor, JeffNEWS (215) 955-6204 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
