The World Comes to Jefferson on International Day, Saturday, October 8

If you want to have a really wonderful time on a bright fall afternoon, 
you'll come to Jefferson's Scott Plaza on Saturday, October 8, from 1 to 5 
p.m., for International Day. 

This year's theme is "The World Comes to Jefferson." Featured 
entertainment will be: a square dance by Jefferson faculty members; 
professional dance troupes from the African continent and countries such as 
Poland, Japan, Ireland, Italy and Colombia; and student dancers from 
various countries.

You'll find approximately 14 booths with food and information about 
countries including France, India, Pakistan and Italy.

As a souvenir of this fun-filled occasion, T-shirts with the
International Day logo will be on sale in the lobby of Jefferson Alumni
Hall from Monday, September 19, until Friday, September 30, as well as
on International Day itself. The cost is $12 for adults and $10 for
children.

Rain location is the Jefferson Alumni Hall cafeteria.

Chairpersons are Sunita Daditch and Bret Sokoloff, both, JMC '96. 
Committee members are: Veda Nargund, JMC '97, entertainment; Tim Bullock, 
CGS '96, decorations; Kim Beukema and Kristen Lengle, both JMC '96, booths; 
Pranav Kachhi, JMC '97, fundraising; Garret Hulsizer, JMC '97, T-shirts; 
and Jennifer Tursi, JMC '97, and Elyse Rabinowitz, JMC '98, publicity.
