You Did It - Jefferson Celebrates 15th Year of Top United Way Giving

"For a record-breaking 15th consecutive year, your generosity and extra
hard work enabled Jefferson to maintain its hold on first place among
Delaware Valley healthcare providers in the amount of money we give to
the campaign," said the 1994 United Way chairperson, Cheryl Haze Luehrs.

"There's more good news - we surpassed our $267,500 goal, raising
$271,604," Ms. Luehrs said.

As if that weren't enough, the average payroll deduction contribution
rose by $5.49: from $80.78 last year to $86.27 this year. "To all of you
who worked so hard to make the campaign as successful as it was, our
heartfelt thanks," she said.

Some United Way donors were lucky enough to win very special gifts in
the two "Thank You" drawings. Among them were: Kim Larry-Brown, human
resources, who won a Marriott weekend getaway, and Corinne Rahn, patient
services, who won a weekend getaway at the Hotel Atop the Bellevue.
